Our client was embarking on a period of rapid growth driven by significant internal change. This required the implementation of a recruitment plan to manage large-scale recruitment over a 12-24 month period.
Having defined with key stake-holders the roles which were best resourced through external recruitment companies, Kent Magill were tasked with providing the ‘single-point-of-contact’ for all recruitment. This entailed:
- Extensive meetings with HR and business unit leaders to define team structures based on skills, experience, market conditions. Contributed to defining job specifications and salary levels.
Then sole responsibility for:
- Selection of specialist and generalist recruitment companies.
- Implementation of Preferred Suppliers agreements, negotiation of Terms of Business and Service Level Agreements
- Ongoing management of all third-party relationships ensuring:
- Single point of contact for all recruitment regardless of discipline.
- Consistent marketing message delivered to suppliers and candidates.
- Candidates properly briefed on all aspects of role and organisation before attending interview.
- Final selection filter ensuring only the most relevant candidates are put forward to interview
The benefits to the client became obvious very quickly:
- It freed up HR and Management, ensuring that precious time was not devoted to irrelevant or poor-quality candidates.
- Candidates were well-briefed, maximising the value of time spent interviewing and promoting a consistent and positive marketing message.
- Historic preferred agencies were positively included but managed more efficiently.
- Access gained to a network of market-leading recruitment professionals (built up over 11 years in the industry) for roles where specialist knowledge was needed.
- Improved economies-of-scale due to rigorous negotiation with suppliers.
- No direct cost to the client.
